Description of Externship:

The Section of Anatomic Pathology at Cornell provides diagnostic pathology support for the New York State Animal Health Diagnostic Center and the Cornell University Hospital for Animals. The training is primarily case-based, using submissions received by the Anatomic Pathology Section for complete necropsy and surgical pathology services and receive wide exposure to companion, agricultural, laboratory, zoo, and wildlife animal pathology. Externs are also expected to attend resident and faculty-organized slide seminars and lectures. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae and a letter of intent. Length of externship is two weeks.
