Description of Externship:
The MIT Division of Comparative Medicine offers NIH-funded summer externships for veterinary students with an interest in biomedical research. The main focus is on laboratory research, but interested candidates also will receive instruction in experimental and comparative pathology under the direction of 2 board-certified veterinary pathologists. Mentored research projects are conducted within DCM or collaborating laboratories. The 8-12 week program has flexible starting and ending dates between May and August. The Division of Comparative Medicine also provides unpaid externship opportunities of two to four weeks throughout the year for fourth year veterinary students. To apply, send to Dr. James G.
